ACO Conical Bottom liquid storage tanks assure excellent chemical and corrosion resistance. and total Drainage. These liquid storage tanks are made of a durable, one-piece seamless construction. Specific gravity of 1.5 (1.9 or 2.2 available upon request). Manufactured from LLDPE (linear Polyethelene) plastic and the XLPE (cross-linked Polyethylene) is also available.
On average, an IBC contains approximately 1,100 litres (250 IG). Liquids inside may vary from lubricants to very strong chemicals such as sulfuric acid, any of which can have disastrous environmental effects if spilt, or may harm persons in contact. The use for IBCs has evolved from shipping containers to liquid storage tanks for those seeking more flexibility in their capacity. The IBCs are plumbed directly from their bottom valves into pumps or machines via hoses and conveniently replaced with a full container when empty. This set-up is quite common, even indispensable to many manufacturers
Conical Bottom liquid storage tanks are available in seamless molded one-piece units in either virgin high density cross link or medium density FDA-compliant linear polyethylene. A funnel shaped conical bottom with 30° or 45° slope is molded in. Open top with removable cover for easy access. They have more resistance to corrosion and chemical than fiberglass, stainless or mild steel. Wall thickness conforms to ASTM D 1998-96 standards for liquid storage. They possess excellent low temperature impact resistance and are U.V. stabilized against degradation by sunlight.
